We serve a broad base of clientele who own property in Arlington, Falls Church, and Alexandria often along the Orange Line Corridor. Many of our clients work in Federal Law Enforcement, Government and Military and a number of our owners are investor clients as well. Artisan tends to attract young professional tenants that desire to live along the Orange Line because it offers them easy access to farm-to-table dining, local shopping, nightlife, culture, parks and more as well as convenient metro access into the city for work and leisure. It is not unusual for us to win new owner business from tenant referrals because of our superior responsiveness. It is also not uncommon for us to convert a tenant to an owner. We believe that if we take good care of our tenants, they will take good care of our owners.

We are serious about marketing at Artisan. We aggressively market our rental listings to mitigate the number of days the property is on the market. Our systematic process begins approximately 70 days before a property is set to become vacant at which point we either resign the existing tenant or begin preparing the property for marketing.

We are a systems based company and use an institutionally defined set of criteria that allows us to equally evaluate every application we receive. Fairness and due diligence are paramount in our organization. We thoroughly vet tenants using a well-defined system that not only includes a complete credit check but also includes a national, state and local criminal history check. We also check the terrorism watch list, sex offender registry and past tenant ratings with former landlords

Our Services

Our standard process allows tenants to submit maintenance requests electronically through the portal. Owners maintain a $400 reserve escrow fund for maintenance and together we customize our maintenance planning, notifications and execution in conjunction with each owner contract. This method allows our owners to be as hands-on or hands-off as they wish. When necessary we will make repair and maintenance recommendations to keep your property in prime rental condition

We provide pre and post rental inspections, along with property inspections at the owner's direction, Artisan helps to ensure the continued upkeep of you property. We maintain continuity about a inpsections issue by logging and tracking all communication through our portal system making it easy for owners to view all the necessary information.

​​​We perform a pre-move in walk through before the tenant moves in documenting the condition of the property with a report, photos and videos. The tenant receives a move-in document where they can make notes and document the condition of the property as well. The tenant is required to sign-off on the move-in document and their security deposit is placed into an escrow account. From there the tenant gets their keys, receives a welcome message, and is given their own unique credentials for the tenant portal.

With 24 hour access to Artisan’s Owner Portal, you will always know where you stand. Rent collections, escrow deposits, management fees and repair bills are all visible from anywhere in the world through our secure owner portal. Owner proceeds are electronically deposited into your bank account each month while statements and 1099s are easily downloaded or stored along with leases and other important documents.
